Vin: Wow. That is a hard question because everything has been great......Well this may not seem funny, but when we first started out we were so poor. We didn't have a manager so we booked shows for our tour ourselves. We slept in our cars, we had no money for hotel rooms. We really only had soap and shampoo. So, everytime it would rain we would run outside in our boxers and pour shampoo on us! It was our shower..(laughing)..One time at this really raunchy show with The Reunion Show we were at Boston Market, it was storming, so we ran outside and started to clean ourselves, and Garret stepped on glass, it went in his foot, he got cut pretty bad! HAHAHA! It was funny."
I know I should think "ahw poor things, I guess I'm not that broke" but I can only think "omg, I would crash/drive into the sea if I drove past them in their underwear."
& I love that he used the word raunchy, haha.
In other news, going to see John (from Cinema department) in the morning to see if he can get me transferred/get me the hell out of Leeds. I can see it going spectacularly well, I'll either call him Aidan (he reminds me of Aidan from SATC) or he'll say "pretty big package" again and I'll cry with laughter.
Spent most of the last week in London with a couple of days in Oxford, good times (:

tl;dr version = Went to see Manchester Orchestra on Friday. They are amazing and gorgeous. Met 3 of the guys. Chris and J are nice. Andy Hull is a sweetheart. On the guestlist for show in Newcastle tonight, sweet :D
Halloween was fun. Anna and I watched movies and Spongebob until 6am. I had no candy though because I forgot to pick it up. I pigged out on take-out though so it's all good. I should've bought Mirrors because it's freaky and the jawbone scene is gross.

The Dead Weather were amazing. Will There Be Enough Water? was perfection. Everything was wonderful (:. And the Bob Dylan cover, New Pony, I wasn't so big on (it would be better with Jack's voice, Allison's doesn't quite fit with that song), I really enjoyed live. Definitely lived up to how good I thought they'd be. It was really dumb of me to not go to The Raconteurs a few years back.
I'd say like 4-5th best concert ever, maybe idk. Comparing amazing with amazing is hard.
And Jack White (and Allison) is gorgeous in the flesh <3
I ran into Hayley there which was a nice surprise 'cause I figured I wouldn't know anyone there. I hadn't seen her for over a year now so that was sweet (:
Almost met Jack White by about 10 seconds (I was on the phone on the other side of the road and he zoomed into the tour-bus - not away from me. haha. The fans who were there only saw him, Allison and Dean for about a minute). But I'm really glad I didn't meet him because I could see it being a fangirl disaster. I got to shout something like "ohmygodthat'sjackwhiteoverthereit'sjackwhitemustleavephoneBYE" at Roz though then hang up, she loved it.
I met the other Jack (Lawrence) though, who is lovely. I got my overpriced (merch stalls will be the death of me) poster signed. I was a right geek meeting him and said "thank you" about 5 times, I think I said he was "wonderful", which makes a change from "amazing" I guess. I need a better vocabulary and need to chill when I meet people. The support were really nice and a really good band - which was a nice change from the pretty shit supports Juliette had the night before. It's always nice to have a support that you'd pay to see just them. They were from Antwerp so I blabbed for a bit about how much I loved Belgium. Brussels is shit apparently haha, my 8 year old self does not agree.
Oh, and Juliette Lewis in Manchester last night was really good. Her voice is lush and she's so full of energy. I felt kinda awkward being alone and all but it was still fun :D
I meant for this to be short, whoops I'll stop yammering now. No proof reading so it'll be a mess.

Why are people surprised/shocked when the Daily Mail prints something offensive?
It's the fucking Daily Mail, duh.
Idk, I get why people get offended. I guess I just can't get offended by a paper that's a total joke. /rant.
I have nothing to talk about ever, it's so dull here. I think I've shaken off the flu I was getting, thanks kick-ass immune system. I had 3 hours of Introduction to Cinema today which I love so much and it (along with films, music and concerts next week) keeps me sane. Watched Mr Smith Goes To Washington for the first time yesterday. It was so good. Fuck, I love James Stuart.
I think my memory's realised that my daily life is boring and now I remember all my dreams (which never ever happens). Last night I dreamt I was at The Dead Weather (omg, so excited for next Friday. Jack White <3) and the night before I was sitting on the floor of a newsagent (I think the woman behind the till may have been one of the women from Eagletons), in some village, eating ice lollies with Vin Accardi. Scars On Broadway were at the venue and Vin said "merry christmas" when he was leaving. It was good times. I think it's hilarious that's this is the closest I get to romantic/sexy (haha, that sounds ridiculous but I couldn't think of a better word) dreams.
None of this is worth reading so have some sexy for your trouble:
I spent like 20 minutes (I need a life stat) trying to decide whether this was at taken at the London show. I realised trying to compare identical white v-necks was never going to get me anywhere. Either way, it's lush.
Anyway, going home again tomorrow, yesss. Even though I have no bedding, no vegan food in the house (I should be smart this time and bring food) and it's freezing haha.

I'm sorry for being a complete mess drama queen in my last post. It's rare for me to freak out that much and yeah, things aren't that bad so I should shut it.
Quick update 'cause I need to eat and visit Steph. It'll probably make no sense 'cause I'm not proof reading.
At Uni, feeling pretty good about everything. I was really stressed and had a bit of a break down last night but everything always seems better in the morning. Woke up and everything has been good (:
I've joined almost every society mailing list. And I didn't get to see all of the tables so I'll have to sign up for more probably. I like too much, it's terrible. I'll find out more about all of them and join the best for me. So many environmental/tree hugger things, I love it <3
My lecturers are lovely. One helped me so much with getting to university so I'd loved him already and he's very nice in person. The other is "like a text book with arms" (whee, Buffy quote), he knows so many details it's insane.
& argh, I want to listen to Daisy. I'll have to get Mum to send it down here when my pre-order bundle thing arrives.

Today, for the first time ever someone said their food was vegan before I asked if it was. I wanted to hug them because I am so used to the "what the fuck is wrong with you?" look. It was awesome. I'm really liking being vegan a lot right now, I don't get why I ever stopped :/

It was awesome to see Stephen for a few days (miss him already!), even if I had to try and wake him up from drunk sleep next to a tree (nightmare at the time but really funny in retrospect). Hopefully won't be too long 'til we see each other again. Spending a couple of days at Anna's was fun. I love when you stay over at someone else's and you always end up laughing at nothing while trying to sleep.
I've done nothing but eat calippos, listen to She Wants Revenge, watch youtube videos and go through tumblr (I'm hooked already) all day. Life is good. My room is a tip and I need to do the dishes and pack for Leeds tomorrow. I finally got my confirmed place after weeks of Queen Mary pissing about with withdrawing me. I've also got a halls place but only for like a month and a half. So I need to book privately after that. Anna's staying with me for a little while which should be neat. Hopefully I'll meet some nice people in Leeds, it's scary but kinda exciting.
Omg, fuckyeahontd is hilarious.

I'm drunk, resorted to playing a Mean Girls drinking game alone 'cause Anna left like 3 hours ago. Boo. Today was fun, went to Space exhibition with Anna & Tom. Then to the Winter Gardens which is gorgeous and I love the stuffed animals and big screens showing nature clips. And seeing as I'm hooked on Blue Planet I was in heaven. I'm gonna throw in some photos from today and the past few weeks 'cause I never post photos.

Omggg, Brand New's Sowing Season in the Daisy studio is so gorgeous. I've listened to it (and Luca, fuck I love that song) non-stop for about 2/3 days now, amazing amazing. And Vin (and Jesse duh) is so fucking ridiculous beautiful <3
I've only listened to one song on Daisy that I hadn't heard before live.
I think I'm gonna make it 'til I get my (signed, I hope!) CD in the mail.
& ugh, can't believe there's no AFI leak yet. I cannot wait 2 more weeks to be overwhelmingly disappointed by their shitty Jeffree Star-esque album. Davey Havok you are better at being yourself than being a wannabe Morissey. Go back to 2003 or before? ta. The T-shirt you get with the album has an octopus on and is therefore gorgeous. I want it. What do I do?
EDIT: Samples are pretty mediocre. Not awful but there's only one I would choose to listen to. I take back that it is "shitty" 'cause it could be a lot worse. I guess for what they're capable of it's pretty shit. & like hell am I buying the shirt/album. I'll still go see them live because I'm sure the record will be better live and older songs (oh dear, I'm one of those fans now. haha) will be worth it.

Watching Earthlings. I have like an hour left, it's tough and I'm all teary. Just got to the part about sea food so I'll probably be bawling soon. If Blue Planet makes me wanna cry I'm pretty much fucked. The Ocean & and it's creatures are so beautiful I just find it heartbreaking that we're damaging it. Actually that goes for the Earth as a whole.
This will be a nightmare but on the positive side I'll probably be vegan again by the end. I need something to motivate me into being so again and I'm sure this'll do the trick.
Tree-hugger rant over.
I watched Walk The Line today and fell in love with Joaquin all over. He's such a beautiful and amazing guy. Even if he has lost it and is seriously a rapper (I doubt he's not just kidding) he's still wonderful.

One time my Uncle Russell went to a bowling alley with his family and he ripped his pants (trousers) when he was bending down to swing the ball. He asked the guy at the counter if they had "any spare trousers or slacks". The guy checked and said "No, we've only got some jackets." (I wasn't there so I don't know all the details.)

Eating low-fat yoghurt and crushing on Eugene Hutz. Sweet.
Not much to report recently:
Uhh, I saw The Cure at the NME big gig late in February. White Lies sound like they've ripped off at least 4 bands. Crystal Castles were foul. I'd seen them before at a free festival and they're not half as bad when you're wondering around at the back/on the phone/eating a cinnamon whirl as when you're front row. Awful vocals and Alice threw up onstage a lot which was disgusting, even more so when it's not your fucking crowd. I strongly do not advise seeing them unless you love vomit and obnoxious faux-punk. I fucking hate that being gross onstage makes you punk and cool. What the fuck? (I'm not a huge punk fan but) Shouldn't punk mean rebelling against something/making a statement? Rebelling against digestion is just dumb. They also sound nothing like they do on record because they don't use the (good) effect on her voice much live.
Franz Ferdinand were great, I'd totally forgotten how much I liked them. Alex is lush too. The Cure were really good. I'd only heard the hits before I went so it was a really nice introduction to them.

I like Crystal Castles now. haha.
I still advise against being at the front, just in case.
Recently been really stressed out about coursework, failing & Uni. I'm feeling a lot better about it now. I think I just lose all belief in myself at times and don't feel capable of anything. I'm working on not falling apart under pressure because I realise that I can't live that way. I've also changed my perspective on life in general. I'm sick of being so negative. Negative for the sake of being negative really. So I'm a lot more positive now and more sure of myself.
Organised my room too, though it hasn't done much of a difference. I got rid of so much crap that I was hoarding. I safely feel that I'm no longer a hoarder, which is fantastic and will save me a lot of money.
Today I didn't go to college 'cause I was majorly crampy and painkillers were doing nothing. Watched some old Charlton Heston movies and Grizzly Man so wasn't all bad. I've spent a very productive night on youtube and I'm getting really tired.
I should really watch Spartacus seeing as I need to return it tomorrow but I really fancy putting Everything Is Illuminated on again.
Elijah's cardigan with patches impresses me.

I'm in London right now, with not a lot to do really. Despite this, I've had a great day.
I have spent pretty much all of it watching music dvds/listening to music with my Dad. Which is pretty much my favourite way to spend time with him. He got me a Suede cd & Brett Anderson's latest album, which I'm hoping'll live up to Suede.
I admit my Dad can drive me insane and upset me at times, but I really do love him so much (:
This year I've finally realised how good Radiohead and The Manic Street Preachers are, that took me long enough.
I raided through Dad's bazillion music dvds (not much of an exaggeration, there have to be at least 200-300) and found Suede's Introducing The Band. I'm tempted to accidentally-on-purpose pack it into my suitcase and take it home, he probably wouldn't notice.
Cannot get over how beautiful Brett's voice is.
& him topless makes up for how shit the extras are. Lussssh.

I might be going to Metallica and Blur near year if I can get tickets. I'd love to see Blur. & Machine Head are supporting Metallica (:
Robert Downey Jr's singing voice is gorgeous.
I was watching him sing 'River' in Ally McBeal (I'm badass) and I thought it was way to good not to be him but I was wrong.
